Season One Episode Four – One Small Stop

I’m really starting to like this show. It’s kind of feel good show but with a good storyline.

A woman is standing in a park at the river talking to herself when a man comes up to her. He tries to take her purse but she tackles him. During the scuffle, the woman has a panic attack and falls down. The man runs away. Bystanders come to her and then call 911.

Gina comes over to Amy’s apartment so she can show Gina all the emails from Michael. Amy also shows her a video of her arguing with Michael and wanted to know if Gina remembers anything about the conversation since she was there. Gina looks concerned and tells her to talk to Michael.

Sonya is walking with TJ on the way to see a patient. Sonya tells TJ since she is an attending resident, TJ needs to follow her lead. They are assigned the woman from the park. TJ examines her and Sonya makes notes. TJ notices a numbers on her shoulder and ask patient if she was in the military. The patient states she is in the Marines. After examining her, TJ ask if she had been taking cortisone and the patient looks concerned. Sonya assures the patient that they will run test.

Jake exams an older woman who is very stern. Jake tells her she looks good but the woman wants someone else. Richard comes in and she is not happy with him either. The woman ask where Dr. Larson is and that she wants her. Jake gets Richard in the hallway and says the woman has dementia and only remembers Dr. Larson and is not going to trust them.

Amy is waiting for Michael outside his office and ask to speak with him. Amy shows Michael the video with them arguing. Amy ask Michael why she was angry with him. Amy ask him about the museum. Amy ask if she was blaming him for that day. Micheal says he has nothing else to say about it. Now that was uncalled for. What is up with him.

Michael gets off the elevator and is met with Richard and a guy in a military uniform arguing. The MP want to transport Major Elliot to a military hospital, In the room, Sonya questions Major Elliot and finds out she is active. Richard continues to talk with the MP lieutenant saying the patient does not need to be moved. Major Elliot goes on the tell Sonya she was taking steroids. The MP lieutenant wants to talk to Major Elliot and she refuses. Sonya backs her up and says that them being there is not helping. The MP lieutenant tells Michael she is an astronaut and needs to be treated at NASA. The MP lieutenant is threatening to call the Department of Defense. Michael tells him he will wait for the call, but everyone needs to go to the waiting room. Look at Michael taking charge.

Jake is looking for Amy. Nurse Julie says she has not seen her. Jake runs into Amy and ask her to work with a patient, Mrs Reinhart, since Amy is the only person she want to treat her. Jake tells Amy she has dementia but remembers Amy as the chief. Amy exams her.

Sonya tells TJ that he was suppose to follow her lead. TJ gives Sonya the military version which Major Elliott failed to report. TJ ran labs which Sonya calls unnecessary. TJ calls the defense department without telling anyone. Sonya is not happy. TJ says that they have a different idea about loyalty. Sonya states her loyalty is always to the patient. Sonya did get out of Major Elliott that she got a prescription for the steroids and was taking them to stay on top. TJ says that’s what is causing her medical situation. Sonya says she will discuss it with Richard.

Flashback. Michael is fixing breakfast for the kids. Amy comes in that ask Michael if he can switch with her and take Danny on his field trip. Michael agrees.

Gina comes to see Michael. Gina says he has to tell Amy about his wife’s pregnancy. And what happened to Danny and their marriage. Gina says that if Micheal doesn’t tell Amy, she will have to .

Major Elliot is given an MRI. TJ and Sonya look at the scans. Richard comes in and says she has pneumonia and he gives them instructions on what to do next.

Mrs. Reinhart observes Amy, Jake, and Richard talking about her case in the hallway. Amy suggests an MRI, but Richard disagrees. He dismisses Jake and reminds Amy that she previously requested unnecessary tests after Danny’s death. Richard tells her that he will not manage the department that way. Amy expresses her gratitude to Richard, but he appears puzzled.

Katie meets Amy in the hospital cafeteria. Michael worries that Amy will ask Katie about Danny and tells her to leave if it gets uncomfortable. When they meet, Katie initially thinks it’s about Danny, but Amy reassures her it’s only about her. Katie gets a bit emotional, and Michael watches from a distance before rushing over to tell her to leave. Katie tells Michael that everything is fine and they are connecting, then asks him to leave.

Michael is called into Max’s office to discuss Major Elliott’s release. Max asks Michael if something is wrong, particularly if it involves Amy. He believes Michael isn’t tough enough on her. Max mentions that he has transferred the astronaut to the Department of Defense. The MP lieutenant arrives to take Major Elliott, but she has a seizure, and TJ tells them to leave.

Sonya does a procedure while Major Elliott discusses her dad. The test goes to the lab. The MP lieutenant states that they have invested heavily in Major Elliott and need to move her. Micheal persuades the lieutenant to allow her to stay.

Amy discovers what’s wrong with CeCe (Mrs. Rhinhart) and tells her what to do when she gets home. CeCe faints. Amy returns to Jake and Richard, who orders the brain MRI that Amy initially requested. Richard admits he was wrong, and Amy responds that she is not judging.

Dr. Franco stops Amy in the hallway. Richard sees them and gets nervous. Amy asks Dr. Franco if she did an autopsy on her son. Dr. Franco replies that no autopsy was done. Richard pretends to be on a phone call in the hallway to listen to their conversation. Amy notices Richard before she walks away.

Flashback. Michael is getting off the school bus with Danny. Danny throws up and Michael is concerned and ask if he is okay. Danny says he’s fine and runs to catch up with her friends.

Michael is in Danny’s old room thinking about the past. His wife enters, and he tells her that Amy wants to know what happened to Danny and why she blamed him. His wife says he can’t go back there again.

Major Elliott is undergoing surgery while the MP observes. He asks what happened. Sonya explains, and he believes it could have been managed without escalating. Now she’s under scrutiny and might face court martial.

Michael keeps having dreams about the day of Danny’s trip. He wakes up from the dream and his wife says he was having a nightmare.

Sonya tells Lena (Major Elliott) about her surgery results and the medications she will take. TJ enters Michael’s office and explains that Lena’s diagnosis is now clear. He mentions that Lena’s respiratory issues are due to the oxygen she was given for years and believes the doctors missed her condition.

Amy and Jake scan CeCe and find out she doesn’t have Alzheimer’s. Instead, her issues are from heart clots. CeCe is very happy. Richard smiles, although not genuinely, because Amy was correct.

Lena is on her way out and stops by to thank TJ for what he did on her behalf. Sonya comes up and thanks TJ for helping.

Michael reflects on his nightmare and Amy’s question about not checking Danny’s pulse. He asks Max for a favor to get into the museum after hours. Michael takes Amy to the museum and explains what happened. He breaks down in tears, and Amy comforts him.

Now we know why Michael was sad and worried. He should be relieved now because he has told Amy the truth. Amy know understands why they are divorced. Will this make Michael feel relieved? I believe he still loves Amy, but he has responsibilities to his new wife, who is now pregnant.

OMG!! I did not see that coming. That fragile woman turned out to be not so fragile at all. She is truly a Mama Bear. The next person that messes with Anna better watch out. Great show! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Season One VI

In this episode, I don’t see Stephen as a victim. He is after any revenge he can get that will cause Catherine harm. The sad part is, he is hurting other people in the process.

Flashback. Catherine is watching Robert get into the cab to leave the hotel. She is sad to see him go. Now it’s just her and Nicholas alone which makes her a little nervous.

Nicholas is dropped off that the emergency room door as a car speeds away. Whoever drops him off does not want to get blamed for what has happened to him.

Catherine goes over to her house to look for Nicholas after the phone call she received. She goes into her bedroom to wake Robert up. Robert has no clue what is going on. Catherine is worried sick about Nicholas. Catherine goes into Nicholas’ room and looks around for clues that could lead her to where he is. While Catherine is looking, she receives a phone call letting her know Nicholas is in the hospital.

Flashback. Stephen hears Helen on the phone with Sasha’s mom. Her mom is letting Helen know that the two had a fight and that Sasha came back early. Helen gets upset over the conversation with Sasha’s mom and hangs up angry. What did Sasha’s mom say to Helen to make her so upset? According to the flashbacks early on, Sasha left because her aunt was in an accident. What really happened between Sasha and Jonathan? We will never know.

Catherine and Robert are at the hospital talking with the doctor. Nicholas had a stroke and is in a coma. Even at the hospital, Robert is acting funny, so they take turns visiting Nicholas in ICU instead of going in together. Robert is still hurt and does not want to be around Catherine at all.

Stephen deletes his Instagram account. Robert calls Stephen to let him know that Nicholas is in the hospital in a coma. After the call, Stephen is pleased but not too happy that Nicholas is still alive. He prepares to go to the hospital to see Nicholas with a syringe filled with drain cleaner.

Flashback. Catherine is at the beach and sees a young man watching her. She gets very uncomfortable and gets up to leave with Nicholas. She was thinking it was nice to have someone look at her but that was her only thought. Catherine puts Nicholas to bed and decides to finish her night with a glass of wine. She goes downstairs to the bar to get a glass to go. When she looks up, the same young man is staring at her. She smiles politely but he then invites her to sit and have a drink with him. She doesn’t want to be rude, so she sits down for one drink. Now, does this sound like someone who is trying to seduce anyone?

Stephen gets to the hospital and after getting directions, he goes to see Nicholas. Just as he is about to put the syringe in his IV, Catherine comes up asking why he is there. Catherine pushes him away from Nicholas’ bed and Stephen falls over and hits his head. Catherine is escorted out and the nurses run to Stephen to help him up. After getting patched up, the nurse gives him some sleeping pills before letting him go.

Stephen gets home and later that night; he wakes up because he hears someone in his house. He goes to the door and the window is busted. He walks around to look for an intruder. He sees the patio door open, and there stands Catherine. She comes inside and takes a sit at the table while Stephen fixes them some tea. Stephen puts a sleeping pill in her cup before giving it to her. Catherine does not notice. She is there to tell her side of the story.

Has Stephen gone too far with his grief? What is he planning to do once Catherine continues to drink her tea and passes out? What does Catherine have to say to Stephen? She is not leaving his house until she tells her side of the story so let’s get to it!
