Episode Four IV

In this episode, you will not be happy about what you are about to learn. Try to get through it without getting too upset.

Flashback. Catherine and Jonathan having sex and afterwards, Jonathan takes more pictures of Catherine. Then Catherine asks Jonathan to pretend like he does not know her when they are in public. Okay, Ms. Lady with secrets. It’s a little to late for that.

Robert is still at the cafe reading the book. He pays his bill and finally heads off the work. He forgot he had a meeting and is late getting there. His assistant brings him an antacid so he can make it through the meeting. During the entire meeting, Robert is not paying attention but thinking about what he had just read in the book. After everyone realizes he is not paying attention, Robert gets up and leaves and goes back to his office. He then gets on the phone and calls Nicolas to meet up with him later.

Flashback. Stephen recalls when Jonathan dies and how Nancy went downhill and would not leave the house. Nancy stopped wanting to get dressed or leave the house. She eventually quits her job because she didn’t want to leave the house. Nancy was so obsessed at finding out if Jonathan was in pain when he died, that she filled the bathtub with water and put her head under the water. Stephen found her and thought she was trying to drown herself. The house became a mess because Nancy sat in Jonathan’s room all day. Nancy finally tells Stephen that she was moving into Jonathan’s room for good. They had found out that Nancy has cancer and was dying. Stephen took food up to her daily. Nancy died a few months later. Stephen buries her and now he is left alone.

Catherine also is in a meeting and not paying attention. Her assistant after the meeting lets Catherine know that she had found the man she was looking for. Catherine blows her off saying she no longer needs the information. Catherine later leaves the office and goes by a bookstore where she sees the book on display there. Catherine gets upset and leaves the store immediately and almost gets hit by a car.

Flashback. Jonathan is at the beach watching Catherine sunbathe. He is taking more pictures of her as she looks his way. Jonathan is obsessed with her. Catherine gets up and ask a woman near her to watch Nicolas. Jonathan follows her to a bathroom stall, and they have sex there. They finally began to leave the stall and Jonathan tells Catherine he is coming back to London with her. Catherine is shocked and tells him not to do it; she is furious that he thinks he can just follow her back home. Catherine realizes the Nicolas in alone and goes back to the beach. Catherine is back with Nicolas and decides to take a nap. She has not paid the child any attention all day. What is wrong with her. We know she is distracted with her own needs; not her child’s needs.

Catherine gets home and when she opens the door, there is a bag packed. She sees Robert and Nicolas in the kitchen eating. Robert proceeds to pretend like Catherine is going on a business trip and she is shocked. Robert then gets on the phone to call a taxi for her. She goes upstairs and sees her suitcase already packed for her to leave. She is devastated. She carries the bag downstairs and tries to talk to Robert, but he refuses to listen to her. I wasn’t expecting that but Robert is not playing with her. Where is she going to go?

Stephen meets up with his friend Justin and lets him know he wants to write another novel. Stephen ask Justin to help him set up a Facebook page about a dead boy. Justin is concerned but gives Stephen the name of someone who can set up the page for him.

Flashback. Catherine wakes up from her nap and discovers that Nicolas is gone along with the small boat he was playing in. She looks toward the sea and Nicolas has gone into the water and is too far out to get back. The current is taking the boat farther out into the sea. Catherine is yelling for help. Jonathan hears her and goes into the water to save Nicholas. Jonathan is fighting the currents to keep from going under. Others see what is happening and a group of men go into the water to get Nicolas safely to the shore. Meantime, Jonathan is still fighting the currents and begins to call for help. Catherine sees him stuggling but does not say a word. Someone else hears him calling for help and the same group of men swim out to rescue him. They bring Jonathan back to the shore, perform CPR on him but it is too late. Jonathan was dead. Catherine is looking on the entire time like she doesn’t even know who he is. Really? You have spent intimate moments with this man and yet your pretend like you don’t know him. What is she thinking? I’m thinking that now she does not have to worry about him following her back to London. Catherine then gets up and walks away with Nicolas in her arms.

So, this episode was tough to watch. We finally found out how Jonathan died. Catherine is a cold hearted person to just leave him there. Honestly, she really didn’t know too much about him but who would just leave like that. Would you leave or try to help? I would at least pretend to be concerned instead of just walking way. Maybe also she was concerned that Nicolas would see Jonathan and call his name. How are you feeling? What do you think of the episode?

Episode Three III

Robert leaves the house and is drinking heavily. The next morning, he wakes up in his car and realizes he cannot drive to work, so he takes the bus. Instead of going to work, he goes to a cafe and starts reading the book.

Flashback. Stephen is cooking and the grill as Nancy reads the paper. Someone rings the doorbell, and the police are at the door. He calls Nancy into the house. The police are there to let them know that Jonathan has died, and they will need to come identify the body. Stephen and Nancy make the trip to Italy and are taking to the morgue to identify the body. This is a very emotional scene. I could not image having to go to the morgue and identify my child. That would break my heart; and I’m sure they are feeling the same way. From there Stephen and Nancy go to hotel where Jonathan was staying to gather his things. Later, Nancy wants to go to the place where Jonathan died; and to get more details about the accident.

Catherine spends the morning trying to contact Robert. She then proceeds to try to write an apology letter to Robert. Later she reaches out to Stephen, and leaves him a voicemail that she had read the book gave her opinion of it. Why is Catherine calling Stephen? Will her family and friends read the book?

Stephen gets the voicemail from Catherine and is stunned. He doesn’t answer to phone and is very angry she called. He later meets his friend Justin who takes him to a bookstore where his book is on display. The owner of the shop tells him how good the book is, and that she recommends it to her customers. Now that the book is on the shelves, there’s no telling who will read it. Stephen didn’t even write the book and is getting all the credit for it.

Flashback. Jonathan walks Catherine back to her hotel. Catherine invites him for a drink for helping her with Nicolas. She goes to put Nicolas to bed and meets Jonathan in the lounge. Catherine asks Jonathan intimate questions, and he becomes nervous. After a while. Catherine decides to go to her room and leaves her room key on the table. Jonathan goes to her room where Catherine seduces him. What is Catherine doing? Her son is in the next room.

Flashback. Stephen and Nancy are in the water where Jonathan had died. They wanted to feel close to him. They are just standing there looking out into the sea. How did this young man drown especially since Nancy is saying he is a great swimmer. Was this an accident? They need to really get to the point and let us know what happened to Jonathan.

Episode Two II

Starts with a flashback of the mystery woman asking Jonathan why he is taking pictures of her. Jonathan is nervous the entire time he is talking to her explaining why he did it. The woman then leaves with her son Nicolas as Jonathan looks after her. The woman drops something and Jonathan quickly goes to help her.

Present time. Catherine tries to continue with her regular routines. She makes plans to make dinner that night for Robert. Catherine goes to work just like normal and is greeted with an applause from her coworkers for winning the award the night before; but she cannot get the book out of her mind. She asks her assistant to look up the author of the book.

Flash back. Catherine meets with Jonathan’s mother in a cafe. The mother hounds Catherine as to why she didn’t attend Jonathan’s funeral. The mother insists on meeting Nicolas since Jonathan saved his life. What has happened to Jonathan?

Stephen visits Nicolas at his job and pretends to be interested in buying a vacuum cleaner. He studies Nicolas who he thinks is a nervous person. After a few exchanges with Nicolas, Stephen is able leave a package for Nicolas beside the register. Stephen goes to a photo lab to print pictures and then puts them in an envelope addressed to Robert. Then he goes to wait for Robert outside the building where he works. Stephen sees Robert enter the building, then proceeds to take the package to the reception desk. Stephen is out for revenge.

Robert is delivered the package. Later he opens the package and is shocked when he sees the pictures of Catherine in the nude. He is beyond upset. He gets a text from Catherine about dinner but ignores it. He continues to review the pictures and then he remembers when the pictures could have been taken. Instead of heading home for dinner, he calls Nicolas to have dinner with him. Robert is too hurt to go home and maybe it’s a good thing he does not right then.

When she leaves work, Catherine stops to the market to get everything she needs for dinner. She gets home and cooks. Then she text Robert about the time dinner will be ready. While she cooks, she talks to her mom on the phone to kill some time. Dinner is ready but still not Robert. Catherine gets concerned and continues to text him.

Robert gets home late after his dinner with Nicolas. Catherine goes downstairs and ask him what happened. Robert is sitting at the table with the pictures and hands them to Catherine. She starts to look at them and screams because she recognizes the woman in the pictures. Catherine starts to explain but Robert does not want to hear it. After a few exchanges, Robert gets up and leaves the house with Catherine running behind him.

Okay, very dramatic. Didn’t see that coming. I knew Robert would be upset but where is he going in the middle of the night? Show is starting to get interesting now.

Season One I

This show is about a popular tv journalist whose world is turned upside down by one event that happened in her past.

The first episode starts in the past with a young couple having a great time on their train ride to Italy. When they arrive, the couple begins their tour of the city, and the young man has a camera and is taking pictures of sites.

Present day shows Catherine at the Royal Television Society awards show where she wins best television journalist. She is happy she won and in her speech thanks everyone. Her husband, Robert wants to celebrate when they get home, and Catherine reluctantly has a glass of wine with him. Looking through the mail, she receives a novel. Later that night in bed, she begins to read it. After reading a few chapters, she all of a suddenly becomes ill and goes into the bathroom to throw up. What made her upset?

Stephen is a teacher and seems tired of his job. He looks retirement age but continues to work. His wife died nine years ago and he is still mourning the loss of her. He gets home from work and has a charity company finally come to pick up some of her things. He then decides to go into the bedroom where his wife slept during her illness. He discovers his wife’s purse and looks inside to find phones Jonathan had taken of a woman in the nude. There is a locked drawer at the desk, so he gets it open and finds a manuscript. He reads the entire manuscript and seems amazed at what he read. He takes it to a friend to read who then tells Stephen he need to publish it. Stephen then goes through the process of self- publishing it.

There are flashbacks throughout the episode that  turn out to be about Stephen’s son Jonathan. Jonathan has taken a gap year and traveled to Europe with his girlfriend. They explore all the sites together until she must leave to go back home. After leaving Florence, Jonathan writes to his mom that he is going to the beach area. At the beach one day he sees a beautiful woman with her son. Jonathan takes lots of pictures of her. At first the woman does not notice but later does and smiles at him.

This episode is slow but kept my interest. The flashbacks were at first confusing but eventually made sense. Now, I’m curious as to what will happen with the mysterious woman.

Yellowstone

Season One Episode One

Started watching this show on Peacock based on several recommendations I received over the years. I wasn’t quite ready for this show. Now, I’m more than ready and I’m hooked.

John Dutton is the typical country family man who will do everything to protect his family and his land. He has too much land that one man should not have. Comments were made that his land is the size of Rhode Island. That is so unbelievable. Maybe John has good intentions like leaving the land to his children and grandchildren. But who knows. I’m thinking it’s just greed.

Beth Dutton is the only daughter of John. I see her as reckless and out of control. There must be a good reason for her dislike in everything. Her main goal is to please her father. Is she interested in the land, probably not.

Jamie Dutton is one of the sons of John. He is a lawyer and handles all the family business legal and illegal. Whatever his Dad needs for him to do. I can’t quite figure him out yet.

Kayce is the youngest of John’s children. He is also reckless and gets in to trouble all the time. His temper is out of control, and he is very passionate about his family. He does not live on the Dutton Ranch but on the Indian reservation with his wife and son. How did he get there? And what is the reason.

The Dutton Ranch and the Indian Reservation are connected is so many ways. I’m looking forward to learning more in the upcoming episodes.

The Perfect Couple

Season One

This show is on Netflix, and it starts off interesting. Its location is in Nantucket, where a rich family gathers for a wedding.

The gorgeous house is owned by Tag and Greer Winbury, the parents of the groom, Benji. The entire family is in attendance for the big wedding. The bride, Amelia, doesn’t seem too excited about the wedding. Her best friend, Merritt is concerned about her friend wondering if she should marry Benji.

Amelia’s parents come to be with their daughter. They are not rich and feel uncomfortable around the Winbury’s. They do their best to try to blend in. Amelia’s mother has cancer and does not want anyone to know and feel sorry for her.

Hours before the wedding, a body is found floating in the water. The wedding is postponed, and police begin to investigate. Now everyone is considered a suspect and taken to the police station for questioning.

The bride comes to the station in her wedding dress. Why is she in her wedding dress? The wedding is postponed. They show a scene where Amelia sees a body floating in the water. She runs out there with her wedding dress on. Amelia turns the body over and its Merritt. Amelia is in shock after this and unable to answer any question at the police station.

Throughout the season, everyone is questioned; and everyone starts to point the finger at each other. The local police get a lot of money from the Winbury’s and does not want to jeopardize that connection. All the secrets of each family member come out. Looking from the outside, you would think that this is the perfect family, but it is far from that. It is as dysfunctional as they come.

In the end, you may or may not be shocked how Merritt dies. And who is responsible for her death. This is a quick watch. Hope you like it.

The Accident

Season One Episode Two

Flashback of Emilio asking Muncho why he hasn’t gone to get ice yet. Muncho clearly says he wants to finish securing the bouncy house first. But Emiliano assures Muncho he would do.

The guilt is killing Emiliano and he confesses to David that it was his fault the stakes were not secured on the bouncy house. He was so excited to get the call from the Americans, that it completely slipped his mind.

Daniela goes to help search for Paula who is still missing and was the only one in the bouncy house when it floated away. They are still hoping she is still alive. Daniela is taking the death of Rodrigo very hard. The search continues after pieces of the bouncy house are found. The search dog gets a scent, and they get on a boat to search in the water. They found Paula in a cave and after rescuing her, rush her to the hospital.

Emiliano and David go to the police station to make a deal with Mancho if he confesses that he did not put the stakes in the ground. They offer Mancho a chance to send his family to America. Moncho’s wife, Yolando, goes to visit him and tell him to take the deal.

Lupita is spending all her time at the cemetery reading to her son Gabo. Lupita wants Charro to take matters into his own hands. Charro is looking for a hitman to take care of Mancho. The first attempt on Mancho does not happen. Later, Mancho gets a visitor from someone saying he is from the law firm hired by Emiliano. The man gives Mancho snacks as he convinces him he was sent over to get him moved to a more comfortable facility. Emiliano is told that someone from his law firm has visited Mancho. Emiliano says he did not send anyone over. Emiliano gets to cell and found Mancho dead.

There is so much going on with this show. The parents want to find someone to blame, and they are happy when they found out Mancho is dead. They think justice has been done. Little do they know the wrong person is gone and the real person is still out there. The show is not great but it’s a quick watch and not a lot of thinking involves. If you want something quick and painless, try this show.

The Accident

Season One Episode One

This is a new series on Netflix and after watching the first episode, I’m hooked. There is tragedy that happens in the first episode that will change the lives of the families forever.

The Lobo family are having a birthday party for their son, Rodrigo. All his friends are coming, and the party will be big. Everyone arrives and the guest are talking and having a good time. The children have been waiting patiently to get into the bouncy house.

More ice is needed for the party, so Daniela tells Emiliano to go to the store to get ice. He is waiting on a business call and sends Motea. who works for the family, to the store. Emiliano gets the call he is waiting on and goes upstairs.

Meanwhile, the children are excited to get in the bouncy house. Daniela takes a picture of the children before letting them get inside. The children are having a great time jumping up and down. The winds pick up and the bouncy house lifts off the ground and takes all the children up with it. They start falling out of the bouncy house from the sky. One girl is left and is trapped while the bouncy house files away.

They have the funerals of three of the children who have died. One parent watches the video over and over and she notices the stakes to hold the bouncy house are loose. Emiliano states the Moteo was supposed to make sure the stakes were secure.

Everyone is upset and one of parents drive to Moteo’s house, grabs Motea and starts beating him up. Then he gets gasoline from this car, pours it on the house to burn his children inside the house. The police comes and arrest both men.

Back at the Lobo house, Emiliano is nervous. He calls his business partner and tells him to take care of his family. He confesses that his is the one who forgot to secure the stakes on the bouncy house. What kind of mess is that. He let an innocent man get beat up and arrested for nothing. Let’s see what happens next episode.

The Ones Who Live

Season One Episode Six

The episode is called “The Last Time” and it was incredible. It exceeded my expectation of the entire show. And it could make you excited and emotional.

Rick and Michonne go back in the compound to make sure the letter Jadis left is destroyed. The letter contained all the information about them and where Alexandria is located.

Rick is called into the commander’s office and is briefed by him. The entire time, Rick is looking for a way out. The commander gives him a story about taking out a city and the reason why. He gets the vibe that the commander wants to take him out. Rick and the commander get into a fight and of course Rick wins.

Michonne makes it to Jadis’ room, and it takes some time to find the letter. She shreds it up and when she goes to leave, someone knocks on the door looking for Jadis. Michonne must do what she had to do. Michonne then leaves the room and is lead to an auditorium where the soldiers are briefed on how to take out one of the big cities saying they will only keep certain children alive. This disturbs Michonne so she heads out the look for Rick.

Rick and Michonne meet up and decide that they cannot let the city get destroyed. They come up with a brilliant plan which reminds you of the old Walking Dead days.

The plan is successful They get recognized for saving the city and are later flown back to where they started. You will have to watch the reunion which will make you emotional. Great finale!!

The Ones Who Live

Season One Episode Five

This episode was not exciting because I was expecting something different. Not sure what that expectation was but not what I viewed.

I just want to know what was purpose of the episode. Sure it showed Rick and Michonne getting closer as a couple but was it really needed. I will rewatch it and see if I can get something different out of it.

Rick and Michonne are headed to Alexandria and get side tracked. They stop on the way to rest and found a cabin and run into trouble. That’s when things start to happen.

They did introduce a person from the past. I was surprised to see that person and wanted to know his purpose on the show. Later they explained why he was there. When will the reach Alexandria?

Maybe you liked the episode and you can convince me otherwise. The season only has one more episode so I really hope it ties this episode to the finale.
