Season One

This is a quick watch if you have some time on your hands. This girl is a mess. You feel sorry for her at first and look out!! Show is on Netflix.

Mae is a teenager who runs away from home in a nightgown. She really didn’t think that one through. She ends up in the hospital and Dr. Suzanne is put on her case. Dr. Suzanne gets attached to this child; and moves her in her house. Dr. Suzanne has a husband and three children of her own. Bad mistake. You start to see Dr. Suzanne has issues too.

Mae plays this victim role really well and everyone in the house starts to like her. Dr. Suzanne tried at first to get her in a foster home but it didn’t work out. Mae starts attaching herself to Jules, one of Dr. Suzanne’s daughters.

Detective Lopez starts to investigate where Mae comes from; and it’s a little town in Ohio with just one group of people. Mae comes from cult group where she talks about being abused by her parents. Doesn’t this girl realize she was living in a not so normal circumstances. Not a all. Mae gets the taste of how people really live and does not want to go back home.

Meanwhile, Mae’s family is looking for her trying to summons her home before the next full moon. This is a show worth watching. Not the greatest plot but a good escape.

This show is about a group of midwives, nurses and nuns living in London during the 1950s to the late 1960s. Very good show to watch. I was very hesitant to watch at first, but since I’m waiting on my falls shows to come back on, I gave it a go. Not disappointed at all.

The show is on Netflix and has 10 seasons right now. You get to know the characters who visit expectant mothers of one the poorest areas of London. The midwives, nurses and nuns help to deliver the babies in a town called Poplar.

You follow their personal and professional lives with all the joy and heartbreaking drama that comes with both situations. Each episode is about a new mother giving birth and the look inside their lives.

If you want something that will be enjoyable to watch, try this. It will have some sad moments but will make you smile and laugh at times.

Season One

This show is on Apple TV. It’s one of those shows you really have to concentrate on it. It’s about Kirby who gets attacked but survives. Harper is the guy going around looking for women to murder.

Kirby is helping a journalist, Dan, figure out who the killer is. Kirby has these dreams after the attack where she is constantly shifting back and forth from reality.

The show is based in Chicago but you do see some scenes from the Depression era. At first, you think Kirby is crazy; but she is just trying to survive and help others if she can. Kirby also puts herself in danger trying to figure out who her attempted murderer is.

It’s only eight episodes and a quick watch. Try it out!!

Season Four

Just finished this show. Marty and Wendy Byrde have been through so much. They have uprooted their family and have moved to Ozark from Chicago. And now they get to go back to Chicago!

Starting with season one, Marty has been working with cartal for years. When his partner embezzled money from them, he was murdered along with his girlfriend. Marty is then forced to make up the money and decided to move away to keep his family alive. And he moves to the Ozark. He has made big promises that he can get more money for his business partners; and on the side make some for himself.

During all this, Marty gets other people in the Ozark involved without their knowledge of who his business partners are. Marty gets deeper and deeper and sees no way out. They Bryde’s bring in more people to help with their adventure; and a lot of people get hurt in the process.

Marty, Wendy and their two kids have been just living from day to day trying to stay alive. Wendy is involved from the beginning; and together they come up with plans that will hopefully work. They get deeper and deeper with no signs of getting out of the Ozark.

All the seasons are a must watch. You will get caught up in the mess that goes on in every episode. You will be shocked, on the edge of your seat and then relieved with the outcome in every episode. Most normal people could not go through everything this family had to. For them, it’s like waking up from a nightmare. Hope you enjoy the show.

Season Six Episode 15 Miguel

This episode is about Miguel and his life over the years. You get to see how Miguel came to America; and what his went through from childhood to adulthood.

Miguel’s father decides to move the family to America. He tells them things will be better for them here. At first the family seems nervous but eventually everyone gets use to their new home in a new country. They show Miguel as a child playing baseball and learning how to speak English.

Then it is fast forwarded to Miguel waking up every morning to be the first person Rebecca sees when she wakes up. He insist on taking care of her in every way. That means helping her out of bed, preparing her meals and making sure her medicine is sorted. The kids have hired a nurse to do these things, but Miguel is very adamant about doing it himself.

Eventually, Miguel is no longer physically about to take care of Rebecca alone; and the kids insist on him letting the nurse do her job. He is still the first person Rebecca sees; but with help he is not doing everything alone. His health is deteriorating and is in his final days.

You will enjoy this episode. I honestly always saw Miguel as someone who tried to take Jack’s place. Now you get to know who Miguel really is and to understand the decisions he has made throughout his life.

Season One, Episode One

I came across this show and started watching it. What a thriller with all kinds of twist and turns. The show is based off fairy tales in a not so expected way. It covers Hansel and Greta, Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. The show is based in NYC centered around completely different life events that are tied together by circumstances.

Two brothers, Tucker and Mitch are planning to rob a jewelry store in the middle of a police protest. Tucker is not thrilled about doing it; but can use the money since his job as a bartender at a club is not giving him the cash he needs to pay off some debt. Mitch has a partner that has set up the entire job inside the jewelry store. Mitch needs the money too along with their partner.

Gabe and his sibling Hanna are reunited after an accident. Gabe and his roommate Billy are invited to a private party after their shift is over at the club they both dance at. Things get out of hand and the host ends up dead. Billy flees the scene leaving Gabe to pick up the pieces. Gabe calls Hannah for help.

Teen Kayla has moved to NYC with her Dad leaving California behind. Dad, Tim, moves in his mother’s home with Kayla. Kayla starts her new high school and meets friends she starts hanging out with. Jordan hires Tim to work as a chef at the hotel he runs. Kayla trying to adjust and sneaks out to a club with her new friend Laney and there she meets Nick.

Jordan and girlfriend Beth are trying to work out their future together. Beth wants to get married, but not ready to start a family because of all the violence in the world. They attend a police protest, but Beth changes her mind and takes Jordan to look at rings in a jewelry store. Bank robbers come in, holds the store up. Things go bad for the couple.

Watch the first episode and see if you get hooked to this show.

Season Six Episode 11

This episode goes into more detail about how young Jack got the scar on his forehead.

The Pearsons are having a big anniversary party for Rebecca and Miguel. The event was held at Kate and Toby’s house. Toby has this big green grill and is proud to be cooking on it. Kate and Toby are having their daily stabs at each other while trying to host this party.

During some of the scenes, Kate is teaching young Jack how to go the park making make him feel more independent. It’s amazing how she is teaching young Jack how to walk with his stick while singing a song; and how young Jack is to listen to the sounds around him while walking freely. They go the the park every Saturday; and young Jack has learned the way with little help. Toby is a mess watching him cross traffic knowing that young Jack is a blind child. Kate on the other hand is teaching young Jack independence. What a great skill to teach young Jack.

There is a ceiling leak during the party and a plumber has to be called. In the middle on the focus of the ceiling getting fixed; young Jack gets out of the house and walks to the park by himself. It was so scary to watch, but he made it. Once young Jack gets to the park, he encounters unfamiliar territory and falls down, bumping his head.

Everyone at the house realize that young Jack is gone and they start looking for him. He’s not in the house. Rebecca notices that his boots are gone and that young Jack has gone to the park. She rushes to the park and found young Jack laying on the ground hurt. Kate and Toby rushes young Jack to the hospital for medical treatment to patched up his forehead. This does not go without blame between Kate and Toby.

The episode also focuses on Kevin coming to the reality that Madison has moved on without him. He founds out the Elijah will be proposing to Madison and somehow he feels left out. Well, Kevin, you are left out. You didn’t want to marry Madison on your wedding day; and now she has moved on. Kevin finally manages to stay calm with Madison being happy without him. Madison still considers Kevin as a friend.

This episode unfolds a lot of history and what the future will look like. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Season Six Episode Nine

Big 3 Trilogy – Randall

This trilogy was the best one ever. You can see the Randall was always a protector, but he really stepped up after their father died. He has always been so serious, but I imagined he thought he had to be stronger than the others.

Randall takes this road trip with his Mother; and he will never forget it. Rebecca even explained why she did not pick him to be her guardian. Rebecca knew that Randall would stop everything to take care of her. Rebecca remembered every special memory of Randall as a child which made Randall feel good.

I always thought Rebecca felt guilty for keeping Randall from William, but this episode shows that she really loves Randall. Rebecca insisted on making new memories with Randall by making stops on the way to Boston.

I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. Even though in the past Randall found his birth mother, you know that Rebecca is number one.

Season Six Episode Eight

Big 3 Trilogy – Kevin

This episode is mainly about Kevin. I think Kevin was a little selfish as a kid. He was always whinning about something. Even when he became a young adult; he seems to always have these problems.

I like this Kevin now; not the younger Kevin. He is insecure but is now at least trying to be more considerate of others. Even though he is a movie star, he has not idea what he wants to do with his life.

Him taking those twins on the plane for a trip to the cabin was a brave move. He had a time on the plane with them and everyone was looking at him with the dirty look. His trip back on the plane was a lot better; and he was getting smiles from the passengers.

In my opinion, Kevin is looking for the love he lost. He wants the family life he had when his Dad was alive. Hopefully, in this final season, he will find love again. Who will he end up with?

Season Six Episode Eight

Big 3 Trilogy – Kate

This episode was nothing like I expected. Kate finally goes to San Francisco where Toby works. Toby is very excited and planned their entire weekend. Kate on the other hand does not seem happy to go; and she has this negative energy.

Toby wants his family to move there and he has looked at a house and everything. Kate is not pleased about that.; she gives him a hard time. They go to his boss’s house for a party and she is not happy about that. Kate finds out that Toby does not tell her about a job offer he had back in LA and she gets very upset. That news just sent her over the edge.

In my opinion, I think she is being just a little irritated. She is not able to look at the big picture. He did plan their future life without consulting her, but she has to realize he loves his job and is not leaving it. All I can think of is that she does not want to move; and expecting him to eventually find a job closer to home. I think she is also jealous because Toby has lost all this weight; and she feels left behind. I know from the previews that they end up breaking up; not sure who will ask first. Kate just seems to always want her way and not willing to compromise when it really matters. What do you think?
