Dear Child

Season One Episode – The Grandfather

In this episode, the mysterious woman is revealed. She is still very reluctant to talk but Gerd gets her to say who she is. Seems like she is hearing voices in her head and at first was afraid to say too much. Then once she revealed who she was, her family was called. They also show flashbacks of her after she was taken and what she was put through by the abductor.

We also see that the real Leena was taken by someone in a car as she walks down the street after leaving a nightclub. She must recognize who it is because who would get in the car with someone they do not know. Well, most people will not do that.

There was a search for the brother, Jonathan. The dog scent took them to a remote area that looks like a military compound. There is a lot of commotion in the area because it was discovered that live bombs have been placed throughout the area. The search was called off a while for it to be surveyed.

Once the area was cleared, the police and the dogs found a door to a unit. Inside, they found a small but well-kept living space. At first the boy was not located but later found under the bed hiding. Aida helped him out from under the bed and he held on to her and would not let go.

Hannah is moved from the hospital into something like a group home for kids. Beck is upset because they are taking her away. Beck follows the car to see where Hannah is being taken. There is also someone else watching Hannah’s destination too.

Dear Child

Season One Hannah

Looking through the Netflix app, I came across this series. It caught my attention right away. This is an unbelievable show but I’m sure this happens every day. This show makes you very aware of your surrounding and who you let into your space. This show make you think about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It starts out with a woman and two children playing in a room. They hear the keys and locks at the door and freeze. When the door opens, there’s a man coming in and the three of them are standing in a row with their hands held out. The children are approved by the man, and they get a snack. The woman is reprimanded and is crying. What is going on?

Later, the woman is seen in her nightgown running through the woods. She goes to the road yelling for help. It goes blank and she gets hit by a car. There’s an ambulance showed rushing her to the hospital. And the little girl is in the ambulance with her. Where did she come from? She was not seen running with the woman.

They get to hospital where the woman is taken into surgery. It is discovered that her name is Lena according to what the child says. The little girl is waiting outside but is later greeted by a nurse, Ruth, who takes her to change her clothes because she is in night clothes too.

Hannah seems smart but strange acting. She seems too calm with her “Mama” being hit by a car. Hannah talks to Ruth revealing all kinds of disturbing information about her family. Ruth even learns there is a brother, Jonathan, who is home alone. You can tell Ruth is very uncomfortable.

Later, a detective (Ida) comes in with a doctor (Benedict). When they get to the room, Hannah holds her hands out for inspection. Everyone looks confused. Hannah states that her had hands must be inspected for clean fingernails and to show there are not hiding anything. Ida starts asking Hannah questions, but she shuts down.

While all this is going on, a state detective comes across some information about a woman who had been found. Apparently, she fits the description of a missing woman from 13 years ago named Lena. He calls the couple of the missing woman, and they immediately head to the hospital where the woman is being held.

The couple gets to the hospital and demand to see the woman. They are escorted in the recovery room and discover that the woman named Lena is not their missing daughter. They are understandably upset, and the father causes a scene. At the same time Hannah walks down the hallway and sees the couple. The couple take on look at Hannah and she looks exactly like their Lena when she was a child. Hannah recognized the father as her grandfather. Now, I’m really confused.

The woman is thinking out loud to herself and hearing voice from the man. She is also thinking she knows she is not Lena. Who is this woman??

Average Joe

Season One Episode Two

Joel, Leon, and Touch have to get rid of the evidence like they should have
done before. Tess, Angela, and Cathy know everything now. And they all must
work together.

Deon is in charge of founding peanut butter; Cathy is in charge of going to
the hardware store and gather all the plastic she can found. Joe and Touch are
in charge of getting the bodies back to the hardware store; along with the
Russian named Moltovo that came to their house to kill them.

Joe brings in the Moltovo who only wants to find Dimitri now. Moltovo pulls
the gun on them and demands to see the boy. Dimitri is wheeled out in a cart
and Moltovo sees that he is dead. Joe then explains to Moltovo that he is to
cut up Dimitri’s body parts. Well, that does not go very well. Moltovo gets
emotional and explains that he must die now because he was not able to protect
the boy.

After all the Moltovo commotion, Joe takes Moltovo to an open area where he
proceeds to kill himself. Joe leaves the scene, goes back to the hardware store
and founds Leon throwing up.  Joe walks in on Cathy and Touch in the middle of cutting up body parts of Dimitri.

Joe, Leon, Touch and Cathy head to the woods each of them with a bag of body
parts to spread out. Tess and Angela have no idea that this is all going on.
They think that the bodies are being buried somewhere.

And this is only episode two. Nothing is working out the way it was planned,
and they are starting to get deeper and deeper into the situation with no way out.

Average Joe

Season One Episode One

If you want something lighthearted and will keep you hooked on what will happen next, this is your show. You can found it on BET Plus.

Joe is an average guy who gets mixed up the Russian mob. Joe’s father has just died from a fire and goes to the office to clean it up. The mob shows up at his tow truck shop looking for money that the father owes them. They ask Joe for the combination to the safe and Joe says he does not know it. They proceed to break his fingers.

The guys that are sent from the Russian mob are not what you would expect. When I think of the mob, it’s scary to look at them. They look like average guys to me. Joe gets in a scuffle with the guys and ends up killing them. Yes, average Joe does this.

Joe has a friend Leon that shows up because he sees Joe’s truck parked in front of the shop. Leon looks through the window and sees these two guys attacking Joe. But when Leon finally gets into the office, he sees the dead bodies. Now they must figure out what to do.

Joe proceeds to tell Leon he does know the combination to the safe. He opens it and finds 100,000 dollars and a key. Now the two really don’t know what to do. They have all this money and two dead bodies. They decide to keep the money and Joe gives Leon 20% to keep him quiet.

Angela, Joe’s wife, has been calling him and she can’t get through. She calls Joe’s friend, Touch, who also happens to be a police officer. Touch reassures Angela that he is going to go find Joe. Touch passes by the the shop and sees Joe’s truck and Leon’s car. Touch goes in and sees the two dead bodies and the money. Now Touch says he must call it in; but is also convince by Joe and Leon not to call the cops and gets 20% of the money.

Now at this point, the men are trying to come up with this plan to get rid of the bodies; and to take Joe to the hospital to get his broken fingers looked at. Touch specifically tells his friends not to mention what had happened to anyone. Not to even mention what their plan is.

Once Joe, Leon and Touch leave the shop, everything goes downhill. Again, if you want to watch a show that doesn’t take a lot of thought, this is your show. And I didn’t even mention everything else that happens in the episode. Enjoy.

And Just Like That . . .

Season Two Episode Three

This episode did not have as much content as I would have like.

Carrie must record an audiobook which is something she never had to do in the past. Her editor wants her voice and not an actor, so Carrie is struggling with having to live through the worst part of her life again. She tries everything she can to get out of it but in the end, she gets it done. Carrie is also becoming close with her downstairs neighbor.

Miranda is going through it with Che especially after she found out they are still married. Think back – she gave Miranda a hard time when she was married to Steve. Now look at her. Che may be regretting moving to Hollywood and thinks her show will not get picked up. The two are having a time but hopefully will work it out. Then comes the call from Miranda’s son and he is all upset. Miranda books a flight and is headed back to NYC.

Charlotte and Lisa found themselves on a school list written by one of the students. They are both excited hoping they are on this list to wanting a boost to their self-esteem. With this new list, the school thinks they should work on the sex education program as innocent as the list is.

Seema gets robbed and is very upset about her handbag going missing. She is not concerned about her wallet or money, just the bag. She goes through a withdrawal stage with Carrie to help her. Seema comforts Carrie during her moments she has about John being gone. You must wonder if Seema is taking the place of Samantha.

Hopefully the show is building up to more interesting things to talk about. The next episode must be better.

And Just Like That . . .

Season Two Episode Two

This episode is about all the women continuing to juggle their everyday life. The women are busy but not a lot of substance to this episode.

Carrie is still doing her podcast and have been asked by one of the producers to do a commercial about a feminine product. Carrie reads the script and can’t get herself to do the commercial. Now as we all know, podcast do not exist without paid commercials. Carrie gets Franklyn to help her rewrite the commercial, but she realizes that it’s not what he does best.

Miranda is still jobless in California and looking to make herself busy. She joins a community beach clean-up activity group to help her meet new people. In the process of the clean-up, Miranda loses her phone. She can’t call an Uber to come pick her up. She does not know Che’s phone number, so she calls Carrie to get the number. Che sends someone to pick her up. And the person who picks her up is not who he seems to be.

Charlotte is trying to teach Lily about the price of money. Lily wants money to buy a keyboard, but Charlotte and Harry put their foot down. They want Lily to learn to earn her own money. Well, Lily does just that and sells her clothes to get the money. Charlotte has a fit and goes to the store to try and buy the clothes back. Charlotte is informed that most of them have sold. Hey, she didn’t say how Lily should earn the money.

Seema gets back together with Zed only to later break up with him again. She comes to think that Zed only is dating her so she can become his business partner. At this point, who know. I’m sure in later episodes, we will find out.

Lisa’s mother-in-law is coming to town, and she is horrified. Lisa cannot do anything right in her eyes. Lisa really needs to have a heart to heart with this women. Even Herbert needs to say something to his mother. Comes to found out, he is terrified of her too. Hopefully in upcoming episodes, things will change. Herbert has an incident trying to haul a cab and none of the drivers stop for him. He realized it’s racial motivated and gets upset. Herbert’s mother reminds him that he must remain calm so that he can stay out of jail. And Lisa agrees.

This episode didn’t have a lot of great content, so I’m hoping that the next one will make up for it.

And Just Like That . . .

Season Two Episode One

Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte are back for a second season. They are getting ready for a big even at the Met Gala; but getting to the event causes all kinds of problems. The ladies are living normal lives with all the drama that comes with a day-to-day life. And they each have new friends to help them alone the way.

Carrie is still mourning Big, but she has met a new guy, Franklyn, and keeping things casual. Carrie has a podcast now and it’s called ‘Sex in the City.’ She is giving advice to women and is enjoying her newfound adventure. Carrie has not moved from her brownstone apartment, so she must have sold the other one she bought at the end of season one.

Miranda has moved to California to be with her new found love, Che. I’m assuming she has divorced Steve, but they haven’t said anything about that. Miranda is getting use to the different life and spends a lot of time alone because Che is busy filming their new tv pilot. Miranda does learn some new information about Che that she did not know.

Charlotte is moving on with her family drama. She has finally accepted the fact that her daughter is Rock now and this makes life easier at home. Charlotte has planned to take Anthony as her plus one to the Met Gala but founds out that Harry thinks she is going; so, she must give Anthony the bad news. So now Charlotte is caught between best friend and husband as her plus one.

Seema is a friend of Carrie’s who also happened to be her realtor in season one. Seema reminds you of Samantha with her bold and outspoken way. Maybe that’s why Carrie likes her so much. Seema is Carrie’s plus one to the Met Gala. At the last minute Seema has to cancel because of her new man, Zed, who wants her to meet his son. She’s not sure about making things serious with Zed, so later changes her mind about going to the Met Gala.

Lisa is a good friend of Charlotte and is also going to the Met Gala with her husband, Herbert. She is trying to juggle being a wife, mother and businesswomen and does not want her husband’s help. Lisa is so busy juggling everything that she forgets the one thing needed for the Met Gala.

Nya is a friend of Miranda’s, and her husband, Andre Rashad, just went on tour with his band, so she is home alone. She’s also a professor which keeps her busy. At home Nya is stuck watching tv every night; and not wanting to go out to eat alone. Andre really wants a child, and she knows that raising a child is a big responsibility. Nya is not sure if she wants that.

All these women are juggling life as we all know it, but in different ways. We may not have the glamorous life they have but, in the end, life happens. Hope you enjoy the episode.

First Time Fixer

Season Four Episode Nine

Watch this episode of a family making their lake house bigger by adding a master suite. The entire house was taken down to the studs and renovated. I had never heard of this show until now and is very rewarding. It is like DIY at a new level and done in one episode.

The couple planned on doing the renovations in 12 weeks, which seems reasonable you would think. They take down the garage port with not a lot of problems. Storage is added under the porch, which to me is a great idea. An entire master wing will have a view of the lake. Now that is a view.

Next they pick the color to paint the house. The color they pick made me a little nervous; but after seeing the sample chosen it looks good. The bonus room has popcorn ceilings. If you have an older house, you know all about that. One owner spends the day scraping the ceiling; I bet she got some muscles from dong that hard labor. Doors are picked out to use for the entire house. They found a lady who sells doors as is and I’m assuming at a good price. Time is spent scraping all the old paint from the doors. That didn’t look fun at all.

Seems like everything had to pass inspections which slowed the process down. They ran into some wood damage and had to hold off on that part of the house until things were cleaned up. Just be prepared for anything that may come up.

A lot of sweat and tears went into the house. In the end the house is gorgeous. The paint color chosen really worked and very different. If you like before and after transformations, this would be a good show to start with. If you are adventurous and have the time, start your own project. In the end, it will be worth the wait.

Unforgotten

The investigation of Haley is reopened and the search for her killer begins.

The men are questioned and each one has a cover story for one another. Who is going to break first and tell the truth? And who killed Haley. Will you be surprised as to who the killer is? Or did you have suspicion from the beginning. Who I thought killed Haley was not the one that did it. It was suspenseful waiting to see who did it. Enjoy!!

Unforgotten

Season Two

This season starts off with a work crew come across a suitcase in the river. The men open it to discover a skeleton. Cassie and Sunny are called to the scene. The skeleton is taken back to the lab to try to found out who the person is. After researching the body there is watch and pager found. Cassie and Sunny along with their team gathers information and discover the body is of David Walker. Cassie and Sunny now set out to find his killer. These are the suspects below.

Sarah denies knowing him until Sunny mentions that he was a possibly a client of hers when she worked as a prostitute. Sarah is so distraught that anyone know about her past and pleas to them that her job or family ever found out about her past. Sarah knows she has to now tell. Hassan, her husband, about her past. Hassan is very angry and one of her children overhear them talking. At this point, Sarah’s life is turned upside down.

Not to give you the entire story, three of the people are involved and know David Walker in some way. Cassie and Sunny along with her team discover unimaginably things about the group. The group does not what the truth to come out and would have never come to light if the body was not found. Think of the lives of their family and how it is ruined. The investigations are starting to get to Cassie know and you can tell by her actions. It is a very intense season but worth watching if you like this type of drama.
